It's been a long time....

It's been a long time since our last post, but we've been very busy with our exams, Christmas etc. Many new things has happened since then! 

First of all, we have a new partner in our class. Welcome to our group Xavi!!

Last week we went on a trip to Lleida with our PE teacher. We skied in Port Ainé. It was awesome, We had a great time there!!

 

In our Technologies' class we are working on a new project. We are studying the properties of wood and we are building a green house. Have a look at our work!

Observamos las células :

Esta semana observamos las células vegetales de una cebolla.

El primer paso era partir la cebolla en capas y cogimos la capa interior para observarla en el microscopio.A continuación mojamos la capa con alcohol y la pusimos en un portaobjetos donde abajo había un cristal de reloj , dejamos secar el alcohol durante dos o tres minutos y después de secarse limpiamos el portaobjetos con una servilleta quitando la cantidad de alcohol que sobraba. Más tarde pusimos un tinte de color azul , que también lo dejamos secar dos o tres minutos y limpiamos el tinte  que sobraba del porta  con una servilleta .

Después de realizar todo este proceso cogimos el porta con la capa de cebolla , lo pusimos en el microscopio y así pudimos observar las células . También pudimos observar las células animales , nuestro director, Álex se ofreció a extraerse muestras de su boca (saliva) , en primer lugar las pusimos en un portaobjetos, después por debajo pusimos un mechero ,pusimos el tinte y por último observamos las células de nuestro director.

This week we observed the veg. cells of an onion. The first step was to cut the onion in layers to take the interior layer. We wet this layer with alcohol and we put it in a slide.Below the slide was the watch cristal. We left the alcolol drying for 2 to 3 minutes. Then we put the dye and waited for it to dry for 3 mintes. After washing it with water we observed it in the microscope. Animal cell After doing the experience with the onion, our director took cells out of his mouth to put it un a slice. Below the slice a lighter (burner). Finally we observed our director's cells.

En este blog vamos a contar lo que hacemos en clase durante la semana.

Hemos decidido empezar el blog con el típico selfie.

In this blog we'll tell what we are doing during the week.
